Have you been dreaming of the day you could update your Facebook URL?
That day is finally here.
Facebook finally opened up the gates that allow you to change your Facebook URL and Username, which are the same thing.
I had been longing for this opportunity for the last year and a half!
When I started my Facebook Page, I was a Virtual Assistant so it made sense to have “.va” in my username! It was what I was.
As my business has evolved, my page name remained the same with the “.va” listed. It has continued to confuse people wondering exactly what I was now.
I am happy to say that we updated my page URL and username recently and I no longer have it! It was simple and took minutes
- From the top of your Page, click Edit Page.
- Select Update Info.
- Click Change username in the Username section.
- Enter a new username and click Check Availability.
- If the username you want is available, click Confirm to save it.
Now here are some things to keep in mind on updating your page URL / Username.
You Can Only Change It ONCE!
Yes, this is only a 1-time shot. After you update it and change your URL, that option will never become available to you again. So choose wisely. Make it something that you know is NOT going to change. EVER.
You Can Change Your Personal Profile URL AND Your Facebook Page URL
Whether you use your personal profile or a business page, you can update both! Facebook allows you to personalize both types of pages. If you haven’t set your URL for your personal profile! Make sure you do that now too! You want everything branded!
Leave Some Love!
I would love for you to leave a link to your new Facebook URL or your current, if it doesn’t need updating! Let’s connect!
